Grant by Thomas Perott of Sutton Valence in the county of Kent, yeoman, for £38 to Thomas Weldysshe of Lynton in the county aforesaid, clothier, of 4 pieces of land with their appurtenances, containing aproximately 6 acres, etc. . . . [see Deed 524 for description and boundaries] . . . here: bounded by land of Thomas, prior of Christ Church, Canterbury; which he purchased of John Rogers of Sutton, aforesaid gentleman, as appears by a deed dated 4 May, 12 Henry VIII. The premises are held of the manor of Westwell by rent service. Given at Sutton Valence on 17 Semptember 12 Henry VIII.
